-TEST REVIEW FOR MAJOR TEST OVER OLMECS_1492
-Student after review should know exactly what will be on test
-This is a large test so they are encouraged to study over weekend as well as next Monday.
TOPICS Covered include
-Know types of shelters each different group used and be able to identify pictures of the shelters
-Know types of foods of each different group
-Key vocabulary from text chapters and notes
-Map of all the groups including Olmecs, Incas, Mayans, Aztecs, Eastern Woodlands, Southeast, Southwest, Plains, and Northwest Coast
-Answer essay questions given word for word to students
**Student can refer back to expectations sheet from beginning of school on how to write essays
***Majority of essay will be judged on content but there is a basic format to be followed
Introduction: This can be 1-3 sentences and give the overall answer to question
BODY: As many sentences that is needed to give facts and details necessary to support answer in introduction
Conclusion: Sum up and bring closure to essay--restate answer

- Mr. Herlocker
- Lifelong resident of this area. My great great grandfather obtained land from the railroad and created our family homestead, the land I grew up on, in the 1860's in Farlington, Kansas. I went to Girard Schools and then on to Pittsburg State to obtain a B.S. in History Ed. I finished my M.S. in Education Leadership also at Pittsburg St in Spring of 2010. I have three great kids Peyton(18), Hadyn(16), and Laural(8). When I'm not coaching, they consume the majority of my time.
